On this morning of Tuesday, Dar Al-Maarif  for Research and Statistics organized a seminar entitled “Towards Creating an Informative Media Strategy to Meet the Challenges; The Media Scene in Hadramout Reality and Ambition”, attended by the director general of the Ministry of Culture office in the coast of Hadramoutar, Dr. Wajdi Abdul Rahman Bawazir, head of Press and Information Department at Hadramout University, Mr. Salem Al-Chaath, Journalists’ Union in Hadramout and a number of  Hadrami media elites and heads of websites. Mr. Saeed Abdullah Bukran, chairman of Dar Al-Ma’arif  for Research and Statistics, welcomed the participants, thanking them for coming to discuss this important topic, especially with the events that the country is going through, adding that this is one of the objectives that Dar Al-Ma’arif seeks to achieve. A number of topics were presented at the workshop, which were initiated by Mr. Sanad Bayeshout, director of Al-Mukalla website, in which he talked about the electronic press and its contribution to the development of the Hadrami community. Then  Mr. Anwar Al-Tamimi, director of Golden News website, spoke about the media in Hadhramout (past – present and future), while Mr. Salem Al-Shaath gave a detailed explanation of the reality of  the Press Association in Hadramout ,its difficulties and ways to activate its activities. Dr. Wajdi Bawazir also intervened with an aspect of keeping up with media outputs with achieving community development in Hadramout. Al-Mukalla Radio was present in its history and enlightenment present in Hadramout and its pioneering role since its inception in an axis represented by Mr. Imad bin Hamel, deputy director general of Radio, while Mr. Khaled Madrk, media researcher, focused on the radio and television output in Hadramout. Then Mr. Radi Mansoor , director of Hadramout channel, spoke about the stages that passed and preceded the opening and the program map, in addition to the difficulties and obstacles. The workshop concluded by the chairman of the Board of Directors of  Bakthir Foundation for Press, Printing and Publishing  and chief editor of the newspaper 30 November official Professor. Mr. Abdul Aziz Saleh Jaber talked about the press in Hadramout and the Foundation and the newspaper November 30, which was stopped because of the devastation and looting that happened to it since the day Al Qaeda took control of Mukalla in April 2015 and no one paid any attention to it until today. The seminar ended with discussions and inquiries by the attendees. At the end of the workshop, participants in the workshop paid tribute to the management of Dar Al Ma’arif about organizing this important workshop, which dealt with an important sector which is media, which should be taken care of in order to cope with the stage of safety and development, which began its turn in Hadramout. The workshop made a number of recommendations which emphasized the importance of developing a Hadrami Media strategy to meet the challenges 2020-2030,accommodate the variables and work to cope with the security situation and development witnessed by Hadramout, and to stand firm against extremist ideas and spreading moderation and support the efforts of the local authority and security forces and the Arab Alliances forces represented by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to establish security and support the construction and development efforts in Hadramout
