On the occasion of International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8, Dar Al Ma’arif  for Research and Statistics organized a seminar entitled “Women in Hadramout between Originality and Future Aspiration” which was attended by a number of academies, engineers and activists in the field of women’s rights.

At the beginning of the seminar, Mr. Abdulaziz Saleh Jaber, vice chairman and executive director of al-Dar, welcomed the attendees, thanking them for accepting the invitation and participating with  Dar Al Ma’arif to celebrate the international Women’s Day, in which al-Dar opens its first activities and its first activities for women.

Mr. Abdul Aziz Saleh Jaber said that Dar Al Ma’arif will hold a large part of the women’s sector and its concerns, aspirations and defending its rights in partnership with a number of organizations and institutions under the international banner “Women in the World of Changing Work… Equalize half of the planet (50/50) by 2030”..

Jaber said that we cherish every woman in Hadramout because she is the foundation of the family and the base foundation for building society.

The workshop presented a number of aspects starting with Ms. Ahlam Al Amoudi on women in Hadramout in past and present, followed by Dr. Faiza Ahmed Al-Obaidi, vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at Hadramout University on women’s issues in the Family Law” social conditions”, where she focused on divorce from various aspects, while Ms. Raeda Roisshed, representative of Ara Foundation for Civil Development on the protection of women from violence.

The workshop was discussed with a number of recommendations and proposals that will contribute to enhance the role and status of women in Hadramout in particular and Yemen in general..

The workshop was attended by Mr. Muthanna Mahfouz Badriss, the director of Programs and Activities at Dar Al Ma’arif for Research and Statistics.
