A delegation from Dar Al-Ma’aref Research and Statistics and the Scientific Committee of the Faculty of Medicine at Hadramout University, arrived in Al-Ghaydah city to investigate the spread of malaria in Al-Mahra governorate and evaluate the spread of the disease during the visits into the city, residential neighborhoods, health facilities and a number of places suspicious to be Infected of Al-Ghaydah, the committee conducted  lab- tests to check the cases in the city..

The Commission has conducted field visits to the central hospital and conducted laboratory tests to check the cases in the hospital.

The committee met with Mr. Salim Abdullah Bin Nimer, the secretary general of the Local Council,. The meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed Afrar, director general of the Health Bureau and Dr. Awad Mazuin, deputy director general of the Health Bureau.

The committee held an extensive meeting with Mr.Ahmed Bin Afrar, director general of the Health Bureau, and Mr. Talal Bayaqoub, executive director of Al-Mahra Foundation for Humanitarian Works, andMr. Khalil Aboudan, director of Studies and Rehabilitation at the Foundation.

During the meeting, Dr. Abdullah bin Ghauth gave a detailed explanation of the work of the committee and paid tribute to the voluntary efforts exerted in Al-Mahra governorate to control the disease.

In the meeting, Mr. Afrar reviewed a summary of the epidemiological history of malarial disease in Al-Mahra. Mr. Bayaqoub explained the role of the professional health volunteer forum led by Mr. Amin Hassan, head of the epidemiological surveillance department at Al-Ghaydah Hospital and reviewed ideas about the possibilities that Al-Mahra Foundation for Humanitarian Works can contribute to the success of the committee’s work.

The delegation of the committee consists of: Dr. Nabil Mesaian, Head of Family Medicine Department, Faculty of Medicine, Hadramout University, Consultant of Internal Medicine,Dr. Abdullah bin Ghauth, vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Quality Affairs, director of Research and Statistics Department, Dr. Emad Abdullah bin Ghauth, general Practitioner and Dr. Murad Al-Quaiti Laboratory Technician.
