During their visit to the capital of Aden, the delegation of Dar Al Ma’arif for Research and Statistics in Hadramout, represented by Mr. Saeed Abdullah Bakran, chairman of al-Dar, Mr. Abdulaziz Saleh Jaber, vice chairman and executive director, and al-Dar and Mr.Abdullah Salem bin Ghauth, director of  Research and Statistics Department in al-Dar,met with Dr. Jehan Bawazir, responsible for the education group of the United Nations humanitarian agency in Yemen at her office. The meeting dealt with aspects of cooperation and coordination between the Institute and the International Organization in all fields, especially with regard to the education sector, research and statistics. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Jehan, welcomed the delegation, emphasizing that this visit will open new possibilities of cooperation between the two sides. she gave a full picture of the Commission activities related to the education sector and the basics through which will be urgent intervention in processing the conditions of education and improving the infrastructure and process the effects left by the events which was having in the provinces during the last period, which requires urgent intervention to overcome them in order to create a sound educational environment contribute to the stability of the educational process in all regions, she also confirmed that the field of research and statistics are the most important areas that take priority because of its importance in assessing the situation accurately in order to be a sound intervention and to give positive results. There is no doubt that Dar Al-Ma’arif and accordance to its competence will provide this through the cooperation and partnership that will be concluded between the two sides. At the end, she thanked the leadership of al-Dar for this visit, which will open great possibilities for cooperation between the two sides in the future.

In turn, Mr. Said Bukran said in his speech that Dar Al-Ma’arif for Research and Statistics seeks to provide data and statistics according to scientific bases and in all fields in order to find a database on which international and regional organizations will based on during their intervention in any field related to Hadramout and al-Mahra. He thanked Dr. Jehan Bawazir for giving the opportunity and meeting with al-Dar delegation. Pro. Abdul Aziz Saleh Jaber, vice chairman and executive director of al-Dar gave a full picture of Dar Al Ma’arif and its basics, objectives, visions, activities and programs implemented during the short period of its establishment. Which is not more than three months, as well as the plans and programs that are planned to be implemented in the future, Which is mainly concerned with education, public health, population, human development, training and rehabilitation, as well as programs in the field of research and statistics, paying tribute to Dr. Jehan Bawazeer’s response from her position in the international organization in giving Dar Al-Ma’arif care and creating partnership between the two sides for the common interest. Hadhramout and Al-Mahra need urgent attention and intervention to overcome many difficulties, wishing that this year will witness the implementation of a number of joint projects between the two sides. In his turn, Pro. Abdullah Salem bin Guth, director of Research and Statistics Department, said that the education sector is a priority in the activities and plans of al-Dar because of its importance in development, and that Hadramout and Mahrah need urgent efforts to deal with many difficulties in this area, thanking Dr. Jehan Bawazir for giving the opportunity for this meeting and it is the beginning of joint work between the two sides.
